What We Believe

Tenets of Faith

The Scripture Inspired

EAGLES’ NEST MINISTRIES CHURCH accepts the scripture of the Holy Bible’s Old and New Testaments as the inspired record of God’s revelatory actions in human history and as the authoritative basis for its doctrine and practice.

The Nicene Creed | Affirmation of Faith

The Church has adopted the Nicene Creed (see below) as our covenant means by which we can express our intent to accept the Lordship of Jesus Christ in the affairs of daily life.

We believe in one God, the Father, the Almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all that is, seen and unseen.  We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the only Son of God, eternally begotten of the Father, God from God, light from light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, of one Being with the Father; through him all things were made. For us and for our salvation he came down from heaven, was incarnate of the Holy Spirit and the Virgin Mary and became truly human. For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate; he suffered death and was buried. On the third day he rose again in accordance with the Scriptures; he ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead, and his kingdom will have no end.  We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father [and the Son], who with the Father and the Son is worshiped and glorified, who has spoken through the prophets. We believe in one holy universal and apostolic Church.  We acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins.  We look for the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the world to come. Amen

Church Covenant

For as much as Almighty God by His Grace has been pleased to call us out of darkness into His marvelous light, and having been baptized upon a profession of faith in Christ Jesus, and having given ourselves to the Lord and one another, in an Apostolic Church way, to be Governed and guided by a proper discipline agreeable; to the Word of God we do covenant together by the help of God to keep up the discipline of EAGLES’ NEST MINISTRIES CHURCH of which we are members in brotherly affection toward each other, to watch over one another, and if need be in the most tender, and affectionate manner, to reprove one another, by the Word of God; we also agree with God’s assistance, that we shall not absent ourselves from the communion of the Lord’s Supper without a lawful reason; to be ready to communicate to the defraying of the Church’s expenses, and for the help of the Ministry; not to irregularly depart from the fellowship of the Church, nor to remove to the bounds of distant Churches without a  letter of dismissal and placing it in the Church in which we hold membership. These things we do covenant and agree to observe and keep sacred in the name of, and by the assistance of God.  Amen.

Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. -Psalm 119:105 ESV-

Church Doctrine | We believe…

One God

One God. There is only ONE God; the Creator of the heavens and the earth and all mankind, manifested to mankind as Father (Creator), Son (Redeemer), and Holy Ghost (Indwelling Spirit).  Romans 8:11

God

God. God is a Spirit (John 4:24), the Eternal One, the Creator of ALL THINGS; and, of course, of all men; thus making Him their Father.  He is the First and the Last and beside Him there is NO God (Isaiah 44:6).  There was NO God formed before Him, neither shall there be after Him (Isaiah 48:10).

Jesus Christ

Jesus Christ. Jesus is the Son of God Himself according to the Spirit (Mt. 1:23).  Jesus is the Christ.  (Mt. 16:16).  Jesus is the Creator of all things (Col. 1:16-17).  Jesus is God with us.  (Mt:1:23).  Jesus is God made flesh (John 1:1-4).  Jesus is God manifested in the flesh.  1 Timothy 3:16).  Jesus introduces Himself as “He which was, and is, and is to come, the Almighty” (Rev 1:8 and Isaiah 9:6). To these facts, Jesus testified when He said:  He that hath seen me hath seen the Father” (John 14:7-11); and, “I and My Father are ONE. (John 10:30).

The Manner of Baptism

The Manner of Baptism. Water Baptism can only be administered by IMMERSION (Col. 2:12).  Note:  Jesus said, “Born (to bring forth) of the water…John 3:5.  Paul said, “We are buried with Him (the Lord Jesus Christ) by baptism…”  Romans 6:41.

Water Baptism

Water Baptism. Water Baptism is an essential part of New Testament Salvation: and not, as some teach, “just an outward sign or form of an inward cleansing.”  Without proper baptism it is impossible to enter into the Kingdom of God (God’s True Church, the Bride of Christ), and therefore it is not merely a part of “local Church membership”.

Salvation

Salvation. We believe that the confession of Jesus the Christ as the only means of salvation is not a denial of the Father and the Holy Ghost; but to deny Jesus is to deny the Father, according to 1 John 5:10-13; and John 10:30, 38; 14:6-14.  Salvation (deliverance from…) consists of deliverance from ALL sins and unrighteousness through the Blood of Christ; is obtained by the believers’ repentance for sin, water baptism in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and receiving the infilling of the Holy Ghost, with a continuance of a godly life. (Acts 2:36-41).

One True God Head

The One True Godhead. Our triune Godhead is comprised of three (3) separate and distinct personalities.  The Father, The Son, and the Holy Spirit, who are eternally self-existent, self-revealed and function as one entity.  Jesus Christ, who is God manifested in the flesh, is the second member of the Godhead, co-equal and co-eternal with the Father and the Holy Spirit.  1 John 5:7.

The Holy Ghost

The Holy Ghost. The Holy Ghost is the manifestation of the Spirit of God (The Creator), and of the resurrected Christ, coming to dwell in the hearts and lives of men who will be obedient to the Gospel, as the Comforter, Sustainer, and Keeper (John 14:16-26; Romans 8:11).

The Baptism in the Holy Ghost

The Baptism in the Holy Ghost. The Baptism in the Holy Ghost in the Spiritual birth (John 3:5).  It is that necessary baptism which places the believer into the Kingdom of God, and is evidenced by “speaking with other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance.” Acts 2:4.

Tongues

Tongues. We believe in the operation of the divine gifts of the Holy Spirit to include, Tongues, both speaking with other tongues (languages) as the Spirit gives utterance, and the gift of tongues as mentioned in Paul’s first Epistle to the Corinthians.  We believe that “Speaking with other tongues as the Spirit of God gives utterance” is the manifestation that God has given to man as a definite, indisputable, supernatural witness and sign of the initial Baptism in the Holy Ghost.

Holiness

Holiness. After we are saved from sin, we are commanded to “Go and sin no more (John 8:11).  We are commanded to live soberly, righteously, and godly in this present world (Titus 2:12).  We have been admonished that without holiness, “no man shall see the Lord” (Heb. 12:14).

Divine Healing

Divine Healing. God has manifested Himself to mankind through the ages by miraculous healing, and has made special provisions, under the dispensation of Grace; to heal all who will come to Him in faith and obedience.  The blood of Christ purchased Divine Healing for us, especially “by His stripes.”  (Isaiah 53:5; 1 Peter 2:24).

The Second Coming of Christ

The Second Coming of Christ. We believe that Jesus is coming back to this earth in bodily form just as He went away (Acts 1:11), to catch away a Holy People (His Bride, His Church) who have accepted redemption through His Blood, the new birth by water and Spirit, and are found faithful when He comes.  Read 1 Thess. 4:16-17, and Luke 17:34-36.

The Resurrection

The Resurrection. There will be a resurrection of all the dead, both the just and unjust.  John 5:28-29.

The Lord's Supper

The Lord’s Supper. We partake of the Lord’s Supper to memorialize the Lord’s death until He comes (1 Cor. 11:23-31).  We teach that the Bread is the Broken Body of our Lord (Isaiah 53:5; 1 Cor. 11:24).  The Cup is the New Covenant in His Blood, which provides forgiveness and relationship with God (Heb. 9, and 1 Cor. 11:25).

The Sacrament of Humility

The Sacrament of Humility. The Sacrament of Humility is the Washing of the Saint’s feet.  We believe that this is as sacramental as any other New Testament Ordinance.  Our Lord Jesus gave us this example that we should do even as He had done.   Jesus said, “Ye ought to wash one another’s feet…” Then in another place He said, “If ye know these things, happy are ye if ye do them” (John 13:4-17).  1 Timothy 5:10 suggests that this Ordinance was practiced in the early Church by Saint Paul and others.  It is therefore our teaching that we should observe this sacrament, as often as is feasible, for the chastisement of ourselves and for the greater Glory of Christ our Example.
